Planning note: the March pair is the tightest cluster on the early calendar. Doing both in one trip means travel between separate countries within a fortnight, which is ambitious. For most people, March is a pick-one month. Lightning in a Bottle is a different kind of commitment: a midweek start means you are asking for more days off, not just a Friday.
Summer: Romania and British Columbia in back-to-back weeks

Late summer: Creamfields closes out August

A Thursday start rewards people who can leave work a day early. If your summer is already full, a late August trip can be the one that fits after everyone's holidays are sorted.
How to plan: one anchor, one destination, one realistic window
An early calendar invites a fantasy year: Buenos Aires in March, Miami two weeks later, Romania and Canada in July. Few people pull that off. A better approach has three steps.
Pick one musical anchor. Choose the festival you would be gutted to miss, based on what it means to you musically, not on rumored lineups. Everything else on your year fits around that one.
Decide whether the destination is part of the point. Some trips are about the place as much as the stages. If the destination is half the appeal, plan extra days around the festival. If it is not, a nearer event with similar music may be the smarter choice.
Set a realistic travel window. Count the festival days, then add travel and recovery. A Wednesday to Sunday event like Electric Castle or Lightning in a Bottle needs a week, not a long weekend. Share that full window with your group before anyone looks at tickets, because the dates everyone can make are usually the real limit.
